Objective:
This book aims to compare two modern approaches to sustainable farming by using Randy Jewart's interview by Foodways Texas Oral History Project and Masanobu Fukuoka's The One-Straw Revolution.
The two texts pair well due to the perspective of community and communal society as a central purpose or reasoning for teaching and practicing natural, sustainable farming methods. While Randy Jewart has the perspective of the journey from art to sustainable farming, Masanobu Fukuoka studied plant pathology and worked as a researcher before moving back to his family's land and pursuing natural farming methods and research.
